A: Once 84 days of treatment is done, what is recommended:
Do a blood test and look at values of the blood test. We normally look at protein level. If blood test results are all at normal range then it means the FIP virus is no longer present. The cat may now proceed for observation period of 84 days. This period is important because the cat is without GS and we need to see how he is doing. If within the 84 days of observation and no sign of any relapse, we would say he is FIP free.
Lookout for clinical condition of the cat. Appetite, activity (level of activeness), the peeing and pooping. Make sure the cat is behaving like when he is not sick. It is recommended to perform blood test during the observation period to make sure the values are at good range.
